The stretch of road we call Halsema connects our communities with the rest of the world. Now Halsema takes on a new meaning as we build a developer community with the same name that will keep us connected with technological advances. We are isolated no more. We are GDG Halsema.
We are teachers, students, tech entrepreneurs and developer enthusiasts based in the Sagada-Bontoc (Mountain Province, Philippines) who gather every now and then to get updated on Google's developer technology; everything from the Android and Google Chrome platforms, to product APIs like the Maps API as well as Web Development (Polymer, Progressive Web App, AMP, and Material Design), Cloud Integration (Google Cloud Platform, and Firebase), and Machine Learning (TensorFlow).
GDG Halsema activities can include a small get together to watch a video, or a large gathering with demos and tech talks, or an event like a codelab or hackathon. However, at the core, GDG Halsema is focused on developers and technical content, and the core audience are developers from the locality.
GDG Halsema is an independent group; our activities and the opinions expressed on this group should in no way be linked to Google, the corporation. To learn more about the GDG program, visit https://developers.google.com/groups/
